Leading by example with emotional maturity, humility, and positive school spirit; displaying grit and a growth mindset on and off the field; fostering a supportive community; balancing academics, sports, relationships, and community; communicating kindly with everyone, and reflecting Christ's character in your actions.

At our school, we believe in nurturing the whole student, fostering physical well-being alongside academic and spiritual growth. Our athletics program starts in 3rd grade, encouraging students of all skill levels to participate and develop a lifelong love for physical activity beyond PE classes. They gain valuable life skills like teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, perseverance, and time management, all while forming friendships and creating lasting memories.

We offer a variety of sports to cater to every student's interests, whether they prefer team or individual sports. Our smaller school size ensures inclusivity, providing opportunities for all students to play, learn, and grow together. While we value extracurricular involvement like sports, we prioritize academics. Student athletes must meet academic standards to participate, ensuring they maintain a balanced focus on their education and personal development.

Signing-up to Play

Students interested in participating in sports at Redlands Adventist Academy follow a structured process. Middle school and high school students must attend tryouts, provide a current sports physical for the year, and complete the athletic clearance through our online platform, Home Campus. They also need to be formally accepted into RAA before starting any athletic paperwork or joining practices. Elementary students do not have to follow the same steps.

Get Involved

There are various opportunities to support and get involved with our sports program. As a smaller school with an active athletics program, we welcome volunteers to assist with coaching, game transportation, snack bar operations, and score table management. All volunteers must complete the necessary paperwork to ensure campus safety. We are deeply thankful for the invaluable contributions of our volunteers. If you're interested, please contact us or visit our volunteer page for more information.

  • Show respect for teammates, opponents, officials, and coaches.
  • Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials.
  • Exhibit fair play, sportsmanship, and proper conduct.
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness.
  • Refrain from profanity, vulgarity, and offensive language or gestures.
  • Follow established rules and standards of the game.
  • Respect equipment and use it safely.
  • Abstain from alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, and substances not approved by health authorities.
  • Know and comply with state, section, and school athletic rules for eligibility and participation.
  • Demonstrate character in victory and dignity in defeat.

High School

High School sports are available to students in grades 9-12. Please note that most of our high school sports at Redlands Adventist Academy are sanctioned by CIF (California Interscholastic Federation), ensuring competitive play and adherence to CIF's special requirements for eligibility and competition. Students are allowed to participate in only one CIF sport at a time to maintain compliance with CIF regulations. All students who play CIF sports must be full-time students.

Elementary Sports

Elementary school sports programs serve as an engaging introduction to athletics, where children begin to learn fundamental skills, teamwork, and the joy of physical activity. These programs aim to instill a love for sports early on, fostering confidence, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle among young students.
