A leader at Redlands Adventist Academy will lead not only through the decisions they make, but also through positive example, showing understanding and respect for others while demonstrating integrity, compassion, and a commitment to improving the communities they are part of.

Students are able to participate in a variety of activities through associations and clubs on campus from a leadership position to being active in a club. We strive to have an environment where each student has a place to belong and let their talents shine.

Students have numerous opportunities to engage in leadership roles, such as participating in ASB or holding positions in class government. For those who excel academically, the National Honor Society offers membership to high-achieving students who meet grade qualifications and then successfully apply for admission. Additionally, students can join a variety of clubs, including the Yearbook Club, which doubles as a credit-earning class, and the Media and Marketing Club. These clubs provide valuable experiences and help students develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Clubs & Associations

Becoming involved in a club or association helps students develop and understand their interests and talents, grow practical skills they can take into the future, and make an impact in their community. It also builds time management skills and drives them to seek excellence. Participation in these activities fosters a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment, enhancing their overall educational experience.

Yearbook Club

The Yearbook Club is open to students in grades 6-12. Members of this club learn to take and edit photos, photo journal, and design layouts using Adobe InDesign. Students in grades 9-12 also have the option to take the Yearbook class and earn fine art credit for their work and time dedicated to the yearbook. By contributing to our award-winning, student-created yearbook, they have the opportunity to make a lasting mark on our school's history.

Media & Marketing Club

The Media & Marketing Club is a newer addition to our campus, open to students in grades 6-12. Members have the chance to learn photography and videography, including storyboarding, capturing the perfect shot, and capturing events. They also gain an understanding of how photos are used in design, marketing and social media, and how to tailor their shots for various purposes. For those interested in graphic design and managing social media platforms, the club provides hands-on opportunities. This club focuses on building skills that align with students' interests and will benefit them in further education and future careers.

National Honor Society

The National Honor Society is an association open to students in grades 9-12 who qualify based on their academic performance and successfully pass the application process. This organization is designed for all-around high achievers who excel academically, participate in extracurricular activities, demonstrate leadership, and are actively involved in their communities through volunteering and service. Membership in the National Honor Society not only recognizes students' achievements, but also encourages them to continue striving for excellence in all aspects of their lives.

Leadership

Leadership takes many forms and is encouraged in various settings, including the classroom, on the court or field, and in different leadership positions. Practicing leadership empowers students to pursue a purpose-filled life, enhances their communication skills, fosters a deeper understanding of others, and promotes collaborative efforts. By embracing diverse leadership roles, students develop the confidence and competence needed to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

ASB (All Student Body)

ASB is a group of officers who organize events and activities while representing the high school campus. From planning icebreakers and RAA's annual class challenge to advocating for student interests with school leadership and fostering connections between individuals, ASB members have the opportunity to make a significant impact. They contribute to both fun and serious initiatives, ensuring a vibrant and connected campus community.

Campus Ministries

Campus Ministries is a student-led association supervised by our administration and campus chaplain. They are responsible for organizing worship services for the high school, planning everything from music to finding a speaker to running sound and lights. Because Campus Ministries is student-led, it provides students with opportunities to practice leadership and organizational skills while getting involved. This structure ensures that the spiritual life on campus addresses topics that are meaningful to the student body. Students feel both seen and heard, encouraging them to seek further connection and engage with the community.

Class Offices

Class officers, elected from 7th grade through 12th grade, play a vital role in our school community. This leadership position offers students the chance to develop essential leadership skills, build a strong sense of community, and increase engagement and participation within the student body. Class officers are responsible for planning and organizing a variety of social and spiritual activities, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for their peers. Through these roles, students not only contribute to their class's experience but also gain valuable experience in event planning, teamwork, and advocacy.
