We know you have questions…ask away!
Choosing the right school for your family and student is a significant decision, and we understand the importance of finding the best fit. At RAA, we frequently engage with parents who are exploring the diverse educational options available to them. We are committed to assisting families in assessing whether our school aligns with their educational goals and values. Whether through campus tours, informational sessions, or personalized consultations with our admissions staff, we strive to ensure that every family feels confident in selecting RAA as their educational partner. Please explore our frequently asked questions to discover more about how we can support you on this journey.
No. RAA welcomes people of all denominations, embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive community for everyone.
At RAA, bullying and discipline issues are approached on a case-by-case basis. Our discipline process is designed to prioritize safety while also aiming to be as redemptive as possible.
While we don't have uniforms, we do have a standardized dress code that all our students are expected to follow. This allows families to choose where they purchase clothes, while ensuring a uniform and neat appearance across students.
That depends on a variety of factors, including the grade level, the mix of students in the classroom, the teacher, the room, and many others. Instead of aiming for a number, we aim for the best fit where students will get the attention they need to thrive. When we do have a higher number of students in the classroom for elementary, we have an aide that spends time in the classroom.
The maximum number of sections per grade is 2. We don’t often have two classrooms per grade in elementary, but we do in middle school and high school where students rotate between different classrooms.
Yes, we offer Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment courses. For more information, please visit our high school academics page or contact our admissions team to set up an appointment with our registrar.
We offer a variety of opportunities for musically inclined students to get involved. For younger students, we have a choir program for grades K-5. Starting in 5th grade, students can join our band and handbell ensembles. Additionally, many of our students actively participate in worship services, showcasing their musical talents and contributing to our community.
Traditionally we have had a lunch program available. We are currently reviewing our options to provide your student with the healthiest food at the best price with the easiest ordering process. We will update you when we have more information.
Yes, students who require medication during the day are permitted to take it. Parents can fill out a permission form and provide the medication, which can then be picked up at the office. For students who need to carry medication, such as an epipen, we accommodate that too. Please note that we are not allowed to administer medication and do not have a nurse on site.
Our application process is entirely online. Detailed steps to apply can be found on our admission process page. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Admissions staff; they are here to help!
We require grades, standardized test results, and an assessment to gain a comprehensive understanding of where your student is academically. Each of these elements provides unique insights from different times and perspectives, helping us to create a fuller picture of your student's starting point. This thorough evaluation allows us to tailor our approach to best support their educational journey.
We utilize Continuous Enrollment to make things easier on parents from year to year, allowing current students to bypass the application process each year and keeping them enrolled until graduation or until a parent opts out.
Student placement at our school is based on what is most beneficial for the student as a whole, considering their unique strengths and needs. We prioritize finding the best fit for each student to support their overall growth and success, including exploring options like grade acceleration if it proves to be in the student's best interest.
Yes, we do admit students with IEP/504s if we can effectively meet their needs and set them up for future success.
