A Whirlwind of Excitement: First Week at Redlands Adventist Academy

August 23, 2024

The first week of school is officially in the books (or should I say textbooks?)! From adorable first-day photos and navigating new schedules to the Pep Rally and first chapel, this week has been a whirlwind of excitement and new experiences.

First Day Jitters and Smiles

The first day of school always brings a mix of excitement and nerves. Our students arrived at campus with a wide range of emotions, but one thing was clear: they were all ready to start a new chapter. The campus was filled with the sounds of chatter and laughter, with the occasional tear mixed in as students reunited with old friends and made new ones as well.

Navigating New Schedules

For many students, this year marked a new beginning, with new classes, teachers, and schedules to learn. The first week was a time to adjust to the rhythm of school life, finding their way around campus, choosing electives or TA periods, and getting used to waking up “early” again.

A Pep Rally to Remember

One of the highlights of the week was the annual Pep Rally. The gym was filled with energy as the students cheered on their classmates and teachers in a variety of fun games and challenges, some in honor of the Olympics (have you ever seen inflatable dressage?). It was a great way to kick off the school year and build a sense of community.

On The Right Foot

And, of course, we can't forget our first chapel of the year. All our students gathered together for this chapel, not only for introductions and announcements, but also for a time to worship, pray, and start the school year off year right.

As we move forward into the second week of school, we are excited to see what the rest of the year will bring. With a strong foundation laid, we are confident that this year will be a year filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences.
